12 Weeks!
How far along? 12 weeks
Total weight gain: well, when I weighed myself a couple days ago it looked like I gained a couple pounds. After my doctor appointment on Friday I will have a more accurate report to give you.
Showing? I believe my bump is officially baby now. It seems to have actually shrunk a bit, which I assume is just the bloat finally going away. Now all I have is a hard little bump, lower down. It is cute.
Maternity clothes? now that I have a new little wardrobe (mostly from Goodwill) it is hard for me to want to wear anything else. I have 2 maternity jeans that are SOOOOO comfortable it is torture wearing anything else. I feel a great love of pregnant clothes coming on.
Baby Items bought? nothing new this week (just clothes for me)
Stretch marks? none yet
Sleep: still the same as last week. I have vivid, crazy and sometimes horrible dreams that wake me up and make sleep seem somewhat restless. I never thought I would wish for less dreams. My urgent need to pee at 4am is somewhat diminished. I am still having trouble getting used to sleeping on my side.
Best moment this week: reaching 12 weeks. It is definitely a milestone for me. The risk of anything happening to the baby drops significantly at 12 weeks. This makes me much more able to think and plan for the upcoming future.
Miss Anything? not having the weight of the world on my shoulders 24/7
Movement: not yet... cannot wait!
Food cravings: still anything sweet (like chocolate) and also now sweet fruit, today it was apples and for the last week all I want are my grandpa's venison hot dogs. Good thing he just gave us a ton.
Anything making you queasy or sick: brushing my teeth still makes me gag a little, I am pretty good to go otherwise.
Gender: still don't know
Labor Signs: still very far off
Symptoms: emotional, tired all the time, nausea every now and then, uncomfortable feelings in my uterus area (kind of a crampy/pully/full feeling) some round ligament pain as well, especially in the morning
Belly Button in or out? very in
Wedding rings on or off? totally on
Happy or Moody most of the time: back and forth (think a ping pong game) I am so happy to have made it to 12 weeks and I am so excited for all the fun things to come. I am also lonely and overwhelmed so that sometimes crowds out the happy feelings. Mostly I would say happy though.
Looking forward to: doctor appointment Friday, though I don't think it will be anything exciting. Am I allowed to say I am looking forward to school finishing the most?
